Geography Of Mesozoic Ignis

MI Map

Earth looks very different than it ever has before, divided into two main continents - the East and the West - with islands scattered between them. The biomes are not extremely diverse, but as the plates move and adjust the lay of the land is surely bound to change in the distant future. As of now, the biomes consist of sky-scratching mountains, thick tropical forests, dense redwoods, wide grasslands, calm prairies, dangerous deserts, slippery taigas, and bitter tundras. Each species has a preference, and some are restricted to cold or warm areas. Below is the list of biomes and what dinosaurs or dragons thrive there, can handle, or can not survive in. Also something to keep in mind, there are no land bridges; the only ones able to go from East to West are the dragons. All species must chose their homes wisely, their lives depends on being able to find food. Wander too far from your ideal home and starvation will find you, if the temperature differences doesn't kill you first.

West Continent Summary

MI

As the only land mass with high snowy mountains, this continent is naturally much cooler than its counterpart. It still boasts deserts and tropical forests, but the winters here are far more harsh, out-matched only by the Snow Island of the North. Every species of dinosaurs and dragons can be found on the continent. Not every creature fits into every biome, and some areas are only used in breeding season, but this continent undoubtedlty has the most abundance of occupants.

East Continent Summary

MI-East

The hotter and more humid of the two continents, not every species can find a safe place to live here. With no mountains, the temperature is not as regulated with air flow and rivers, leaving only the ends of the continent cold and snowy. Humid swamps, searing deserts, dry savannahs, and thick forests that squeeze you with high humidity. Only the prairies and grasslands up North offer any sort of cool temperatures before a sheer drop into icy the taigas can give your body quite the shock.
