Prairie Biome

Prairie

Unlike the nearby Grasslands, a Prairie biome has more buahes, shrubs, and even sparse trees. These areas have low-level coverage, but adults can still see what's on the horizon, making it a very popular place for all ground-nesting species.

Dinosaur Population

The prairies are a very common nesting site for all dinosaurs. The bushes provide shade and shelter for parents as they sit incubating their eggs. The short grass allows expecting parents to see any danger on the horizon. Almost every species of dinosaur nest here, though Allosaurus and Utahraptor will usually nest elswhere and come to the Prairies to snatch any un-attended eggs.

Dragon Population

No dragons nest in these biomes, but Razorwhips have been known to come to the prairies just as their babies are gaining their own sight. This allows them to have mild respites under the shade of bushes as they adjust to the light. Usually Razorwhips don't bother dinosaurs at their nests, but if a mother can't find food within a reasonable distance from her young, she will scare off dinosaurs with a barrage of fire and steal their eggs to feed her offspring.
