Tundra Biome

Tundra

The tundras are far colder than the nearby Taigas surrounding them. These freezing clearings have only grass, rocks, and water. Far in the distance there are mountains, but going up in an already cold place is asking for trouble. While it's not an easy place to raise a family, Utahraptors can live here comfortably due to adapting heavier plumage than other dinosaurs. Most summers, the Parasaurs come here to breed or just to find better food, depending on where they come from. Stormcutter and Skrill dragons live on the nearby mountains, but they come down to hunt the prey that has nowhere to hide. Small, icy streams of water can be traced back to the mountain; this water is likely the most pure, and may be why some dinosaurs seek it around breeding season. The brownish surface water found in the tundra during the summer that draws animals in is quite rich with vitamins.
