Redwoods Biome
The Redwoods are favored hunting grounds for large pradators, both dinosaur and dragon. Though prey species may feel safe surrounded by thick trees, dragons like the Stormcutter are moving almost silently from tree to tree, and Razorwhips use their prehensile tails to hang upside down from high branches while they sleep. Though there is far better grazing and more nutrient-rich plants, these woods should never be entered into alone.
Dinosaur Population
Every species of dinosaur can find some manner of rest,
food, and shelter in the redwoods. Utahraptors nest deep
in the forests where the trees are too thick for even the
sneakiest Allosaurus to get close without making noise. Parasaurs
typically live wandering around the forest, but a large river
through the forest, a strong and wide obstacle. Utahraptors can
easily jump over this river, but other dinosaurs have to either
try their luck swimming, or search for a more narrow bend.
The woods themselves are home to many small mammals, lesser
reptiles like lizards and snakes. These are easy snacks,
making the Redwoods a territory well worth fighting for.

Dragon Population
Despite the tight spaces of the Redwoods, dragons do live here.
Mostly they stay up in the canopy, or near the clearings
scattered about to watch for prey wandering into such a vulnerable
location. Stormcutters perch high on the driest of trees, usually
individuals with brown or reddish scales and no striking patterns
find the most success here. Razorwhips, especially colonies of males,
will use their prehensile tails to hang from high branches of sturdy
trees. Like the Stormcutter, most that find success here are darker
in color, mostly bronze or brownish-gold colors. The Razorwhips
can hunt on the forest floor, where Stormcutters need the trees
and clearings in order to feed. The skrill can't survive in this
environment, the humidity and tight spaces would tire and slow
them down.
